Chiropractic business valuation

Different valuation methodologies are used depending upon the size and other features of a chiropractic practice.

Chiropractic valuations are often required for purchase or sale of a practice, tax reasons and for family law property settlements and other types of disputes.

The most common normalisation adjustment in a chiropractice valuation is the adjustment for a market based salary for the owner of the practice. This can have a significant impact on the normalised profit of the business and the appropriate valuation technique.

Another consideration is the size of the practice and whether any goodwill in the practice is transferable or the goodwill is personal and attaches to the chiropractor and not the chiropractic practice.
